Why should I have a Racking Safety Inspection done?

Racking Safety Inspections are a statutory requirement under Health & Safety legislation.

Inspections must be carried out at least once a year by a SARI or technically competent

person.

Failing to comply with this legislation could result in a catastrophic failing of the racking (see pictures) and the invalidation of your insurance, which would be very costly.

The need for Racking Inspections in the PUWER regulations and defined in HSG76.

What is a Rack Inspection Report?

A Rack Inspection Report are generally made up of two parts:-

  1. Onsite visit to visual inspect the customers racking installation and SEMA procedures and guidelines will be followed and the inspection measurements and findings will be recorded.
  2. The findings from the onsite visit will be constructed into a comprehensive written report detailing the inspectors findings and recommendations.
